Requirements

Open Studio Membership is intended for independent ceramic artists and requires prior clay experience. Members must be comfortable and proficient working with clay without instruction, knowledgeable in studio materials, tools, equipment, glazing, and firing processes, and able to work safely and independently within a shared studio environment.

Before being considered for Studio Sessions Membership, applicants may be asked to complete a brief in-person evaluation or answer a few questions to ensure they’re comfortable working independently in a shared studio environment, including familiarity with:

• Studio policies

• Clean up procedures

• Equipment training

• Safety procedures

Studio Policies

• All outside materials must be labeled in order to receive studio approval.

• Any damage to kiln or kiln shelf because of explosions or glaze dripping are subject to a $25 cleaning fee or in some cases will be required to replace shelf or replacement parts.
